Overview

WSH Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee a 41-unit apartment community in Long Beach, California. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in affordable housing compliance and excellent leadership skills, with a commitment to resident services and property management.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day property operations and ensure compliance with community policies
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and support budget development
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including rent collection
  • Supervise the Maintenance Technician and monitor property upkeep
  • Handle move-in and move-out processes and manage resident files
  • Support residents through the recertification process and address concerns
  • Train and onboard new staff while fostering a collaborative team culture
  • Maximize occupancy and minimize lost rent
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs and California landlord/tenant law
  • Conduct quarterly resident meetings and promote resident engagement

Required skills

  • Experience in property management and affordable housing compliance
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and budget management
  • Proficient in Yardi property management software and MS Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
