Overview

The Commercial Loan Accounting Specialist at OSP LP is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans, focusing on payment processing, escrow administration, and compliance with loan documents. This role requires a proactive approach to addressing discrepancies and ensuring timely payments of property taxes and insurance.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and post daily loan payments from various sources.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and balancing issues.
  • Monitor cash balances and system reconciliations.
  • Administer and reconcile escrow accounts according to loan documents.
  • Perform escrow analyses to ensure sufficient funds for tax and insurance payments.
  • Identify and report delinquencies or documentation deficiencies.
  • Maintain organized loan credit and collateral files.
  • Interpret loan documents to ensure accurate system setup.
  • Communicate with clients, borrowers, and third parties regarding discrepancies.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial loan administration or servicing
  • Experience with commercial loan servicing systems
  • Knowledge of commercial loan documentation (promissory notes, mortgages)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Flexibility to manage shifting priorities
