Overview

Davie Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee designated projects, ensuring their successful completion while developing new business opportunities. The role involves a comprehensive approach throughout both the pre-construction and construction phases, managing various aspects such as budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage project workflows from pre-construction to construction phases.
  • Determine construction methods and assess manpower and material needs.
  • Select subcontractors and vendors, managing contracts and purchase orders.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules, quality control, and safety plans.
  • Monitor project finances, ensuring adherence to budgets and resolving job issues.
  • Facilitate positive client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Contribute to day-to-day operations and support management.

Required skills

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • 10-hour OSHA Training (commitment to 30-hour training within a year).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Viewpoint Software, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of construction, design, finance, and management practices.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical drawings and governmental regulations.
