Job Description

Overview

National Scouting Report is looking for a College Softball Scout with collegiate playing or coaching experience. The role involves evaluating and supporting softball athletes in their college recruiting journey, while building relationships with families and coaches within a flexible and autonomous environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at showcases, tournaments, and local events
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess athletic, academic, and recruiting readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into appropriate NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with high school and travel ball coaches, trainers, and softball organizations
  • Collaborate with NSR's internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community

Required skills

  • Collegiate softball playing experience or high school/travel/college coaching background
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work with families in a consultative, educational role
  • Self-motivated and organized with a flexible schedule
  • Sales or marketing experience
