Overview

National Scouting Report (NSR) is looking for a College Softball Scout with collegiate experience to evaluate talent and guide athletes through the recruiting process. This role offers a flexible schedule and focuses on building relationships within the softball community while representing a respected brand in college scouting.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at events
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with coaches, trainers, and organizations
  • Collaborate with internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community

Required skills

  • Collegiate softball playing experience or coaching background
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Sales or marketing experience is a strong plus
  • Passion for helping athletes reach the college level
