Overview

The College Softball Scout for National Scouting Report Inc is a role designed for individuals with collegiate playing or coaching experience in softball. This position involves on-field evaluation, relationship-building, and providing consultative guidance to athletes and their families, focusing on the college recruiting process.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at showcases, tournaments, and local events
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess athletic, academic, and recruiting readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into appropriate NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with high school and travel ball coaches, trainers, and softball organizations
  • Collaborate with NSR's internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community

Required skills

  • Collegiate softball playing experience or HS / Travel / College coaching background
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work with families in a consultative, educational role
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Sales or marketing experience is a strong plus
