Overview

National Scouting Report Inc is seeking a College Softball Scout with collegiate playing or coaching experience to help athletes navigate their recruiting journeys. The role involves on-field talent evaluation, fostering relationships, and providing consultative guidance to athletes and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at showcases and tournaments
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with high school and travel ball coaches, trainers, and organizations
  • Collaborate with NSR's internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community

Required skills

  • Collegiate softball playing experience or coaching background
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a consultative, educational role with families
  • Self-motivated and organized with a flexible schedule
  • Sales or marketing experience is a plus
