Overview

The CNC Machinist - Aircraft Component Repair Technician 2 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to fabricate parts and repair aircraft components. The role involves interpreting blueprints, programming CNC machines, and ensuring compliance with engineering documents while adhering to repair station requirements in a structured environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate aircraft components
  • Download and test program files for cutting/milling operations
  • Inspect and replace cutting tools as necessary
  • Train lower level CNC technicians
  • Perform repairs on mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Utilize testing equipment for functional and operational tests of aircraft components
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Complete necessary paperwork in line with FAA requirements
  • Assist in training and instructing lower-level technicians

Required skills
