Job Description

Overview

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc is looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join their team in Mason, Ohio. The role involves setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety and quality standards in a clean and climate-controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines including milling machines, horizontal lathes, and grinders
  • Follow process sheets, work instructions, and blueprints to complete machining tasks
  • Upload, download, and edit CNC programs as required
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Analyze and interpret mechanical drawings and process documentation
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications
  • Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Document actions and report labor in the ERP system
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Required skills

  • CNC machining experience
  • Knowledge of Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Okuma controls
  • Experience with G & M codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Good technical math skills including shop math, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
