Overview

The Clinician at Beacon Specialized Living in Richmond is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral services, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for individuals. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to improve outcomes while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

  • Independently coordinate and monitor individualized behavior treatment plans
  • Provide face-to-face clinical services to clients
  • Lead crisis response efforts and assess intervention strategies
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and data analysis
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
  • Maintain clinical documentation and ensure compliance with standards
  • Assist in ongoing behavioral health training for staff
  • Communicate with families and involved stakeholders
  • Perform on-call duties as required
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Analysis, Counseling, or related field
  • Valid state license or certification (BCBA, LCSW, LSW, LPCC, LPC, PBSF)
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience with mentally ill and intellectually disabled populations
  • Experience with high-intensity/high-frequency behaviors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask
