Job Description

Overview

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a dedicated Clinician to support individuals with Severe Mental Illness, Autism, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and complex medical and behavioral needs. This role involves working with high-acuity populations in a collaborative environment, focusing on delivering impactful care and driving meaningful outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
  • Design and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Monitor progress through data analysis and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide post-incident debriefing
  • Serve as a clinical consultant in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Train and mentor staff on behavior strategies and best practices
  • Collaborate with CMH, families, and external partners to ensure coordinated care
  • Support investigations, compliance efforts, and performance improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Analysis, Counseling, or related field
  • Valid state license or certification (BSW or MSW)
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience (practicum and internship experience may be considered)
  • Experience managing complex, high-intensity behaviors
  • Experience in AFC/residential settings, CMH, or hospital environments preferred
  • Ability to maintain required trainings and certifications independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Oakland County
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
