Overview

Cannon Corp is seeking a Civil Senior Principal Engineer in Land Development to provide supervision, coordination, technical support, and training to engineers and designers in their West Los Angeles office. The role involves managing various civil engineering land development projects while fostering client relations and leading a talented team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of civil engineering land development projects.
  • Establish and foster client relations and develop proposals and budgets.
  • Design plans for grading, drainage, and other infrastructure improvements.
  • Mentor, manage, and supervise design associates on technical matters.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate with jurisdictional agencies to obtain approvals for improvement plans.
  • Participate in business development and expand opportunities in the Inland Empire.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience managing projects
  • California P.E. license
  • Proven expertise in land development design
  • Experience in processing improvement plans with jurisdictional agencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other civil engineering design software
  • Experience in business development and client management
