Overview

The Civil Drafter I at ACO, Inc. is responsible for providing expert technical design assistance and support for customer projects. This role involves collaboration with sales teams, database management, project coordination, and delivering design services including technical calculations and documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify the best product solutions for projects
  • Advise on installation recommendations and procedures
  • Provide hydraulic information and on-site problem-solving support
  • Maintain Technical Services Information database
  • Prepare submittal packages including plan drawings and specifications
  • Conduct material take-offs based on project plans
  • Gather and verify project information for communication
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in civil design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2021 or higher
  • Skilled in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Competence in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering documents
  • Technical writing and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
