Overview

Lowes Foods is seeking a Cheese Steward to join their team on Johns Island, South Carolina. This role involves providing excellent customer service while developing a strong knowledge of cheese products and enhancing guest experiences through personal interactions and product recommendations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • Meet with cheese representatives to determine the best cheese selection
  • Discuss cheeses with guests to help them find suitable products
  • Answer guest questions about the products
  • Offer cheese samples to guests
  • Train other cheese demonstrators/stewards
  • Recommend wine to accompany cheese
  • Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
  • Set up advertising displays utilizing visual merchandising standards
  • Obtain merchandise requested by guests
  • Wrap merchandise for guests upon request
  • Clean shelves, counters, tables, or displays
  • Keep records of sales, prepare inventory, and order merchandise
  • Announce specials and sale information using the PA system
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
