Since 1960, D'Youville Life & Wellness Community has provided Greater Lowell and surrounding communities with Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care earning the respect of its peers and the trust of the community at large. We are looking for an experienced Full-Time or Part-Time Chaplain to join our dynamic team. $25 to $36 per hour based on skills and experience. Chaplain Qualifications: Endorsement by an affiliated Religious Body. One year of Chaplain experience in a healthcare setting is required. Certification by National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association for Professional Chaplains (APC) - preferred. Required: Certification completed within first year of employment. Clinical Pastoral Education certification through NACC or APC or ability to attain certification within three years of employment. Documented evidence of theological competence will be verified through CPE documents and education; Masters degree in Theology is preferred. Desire to work with sick and terminally ill while maintaining genuine respect for religious convictions and respect for people without a faith dimension. Have a good of knowledge of community resources for referrals to social agencies and services. Chaplain Job Summary: Regularly visit and minister to Residents, Patients and families within 5 D'Youville units. Respond to all requests for pastoral care and document all visits in the Electronic Medical Records system. Regularly participate in interdisciplinary Team meetings and other meetings/conferences with residents, patients and families. Regularly plan and lead liturgical services: weekly mass, communion services, and assist with other services such as annual remembrance service with families.
