Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role at All Ways Caring HomeCare involves providing compassionate care and support to patients in various settings, including home health, hospice, and residential care. The position requires certification and is focused on assisting patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and dignity.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist nurses with basic care activities
  • Dress, groom, bathe, and feed patients
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Respond to call lights and assist with toileting
  • Provide oral care, nail care, and catheter care
  • Transport and reposition bedridden patients
  • Clean rooms and change bed linens
  • Administer medication as directed
  • Report patient changes and other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Certification as a Nurse Assistant or Home Health Care Aide
  • Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of experience
  • Basic medical knowledge
  • Compassionate communication
  • Safety and mobility assistance
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks
