Overview

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL A or B driver for local straight truck driving in Ashland, Virginia. The role involves making deliveries, loading and unloading products, and working in the warehouse while providing excellent customer service. This position is designed for dedicated individuals looking for a stable schedule with guaranteed hours and a commitment to the company's mission of Respect, Service, and Excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Acts as a front-line representative while providing outstanding customer service
  • Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
  • Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
  • Interacts with customers and crews at job sites
  • Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
  • Performs additional tasks such as cycle counts and inventory as needed

Required skills

  • CDL-B (or A) license
  • Minimum one year driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Moffett forklift experience
  • Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing as much as 80+ pounds
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to meet physical requirements
