Job Description

Overview

As a CDL A Driver at McLane Company, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. With a strong emphasis on reliability and safety, this role contributes to the company's long-standing reputation as a leader in the distribution industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports.
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination following commercial driving regulations.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
