Job Description

Overview

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Cat Scan Technician (CT) for full-time night shifts. This role involves providing computed tomography imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort during the procedure. Key responsibilities

  • Provide computed tomography imaging according to standards of practice.
  • Accept on-call assignments and be available for urgent shifts.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders before procedures.
  • Educate patients about procedures and ensure their understanding.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control on imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze imaging results and resolve quality issues.

Required skills

  • Two-year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree.
  • Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology.
  • BLS certification.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills.
