Overview

As a Caregiver - Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon Specialized Living Services, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your role will be crucial in helping residents achieve their personal goals, improve their quality of life, and live independently. The position is part-time and offers comprehensive training, making it accessible to both new and experienced healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide support and care to individuals, encouraging them to meet their goals
  • Foster a safe and respectful environment for residents
  • Prepare meals based on dietary specifications and assist with housekeeping
  • Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosages
  • Remain accessible in homes requiring round-the-clock care
  • Supervise daily activities, personal care, and social interactions
