Overview

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship trained Non Invasive Cardiologist to join their established Heart & Vascular practice in Portsmouth, Ohio. The role offers a unique 7 days on/7 days off schedule and involves both inpatient and outpatient care with a case load that includes various procedures and consultations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a hospital employed Heart & Vascular practice
  • Conduct inpatient consults and cardiac testing
  • Manage outpatient clinic responsibilities with a target case load of 10 patients per day
  • Perform procedures (4-6 per day) as part of clinical practice
  • Participate in the CERP (Pay for Call) program if applicable
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including physicians and advanced practitioners

Required skills

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
  • Fellowship training in Noninvasive Cardiology
  • Experience in patient care and medical diagnosis
  • Knowledge of cardiac imaging and electrocardiography
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Clinical research experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare management and public health

  • Base salary options between $590,985 to $724,177 with additional compensation based on experience
