Position Overview:As a CAD Technician you will be responsible for preparing fabrication and installation drawings of underground storage systems and other structures to be fabricated using Lane's pipe products.Essential Responsibilities:Develop standard product drawings for internal and external usePrepare and coordinate drawing submittals under the direction of the Sales Representative and/or EngineerEvaluate underground storage system configurations for more cost-effective layout and increased ease of fabricationPrepare drawings for special projects from concept to fabricationReview engineering drawings prior to releasePerform accurate take offs from plans/drawingsAssist with quote developmentMaintain thorough knowledge of Lane's products, product information, and specificationsActive participant in CAD workload group to workshare across the companyPosition reports to Plant ManagerMust be able to interact with multiple entities inside and outside the organization (i.e. Sales Representatives, Engineers, Contractors, and other CAD Technicians Requirements Requirements:Minimum 2 Years of CAD design and drafting experienceProficient in AutoCADKnowledge of design and engineering principles (i.e. ability to read plan drawings)Highly detail-orientedStrong analytical and organizational skillsAssociate degree or equivalentMust be able to pass physical and drug testThe base pay rate for this position is $24/hr - $29/hr.Compensation details: 24-29 Hourly WagePI9d7866c65d71-3380
