Job Description

Overview

The Business Development Coordinator at Reed Smith LLP will support the global commercial disputes practice by managing marketing administrative tasks and assisting with business development initiatives. This role involves liaising with colleagues worldwide, coordinating client research, creating presentations, and promoting events, all while maintaining strong relationships with attorneys and practice groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the GCD BD team with various projects related to practice growth and promotion
  • Maintain communication with group leaders, attorneys, and practice groups
  • Create firm-branded PowerPoint presentations for pitches and internal meetings
  • Update and track publications, pitches, events, and attorney bios in the CRM system
  • Edit and update marketing materials for various publications
  • Develop agendas and take notes for group and strategy meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch materials and responses to RFPs
  • Support the production of thought leadership content like podcasts and blogs
  • Organize webinars, client seminars, and firm events
  • Collaborate with graphics and events teams on marketing materials

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in a professional services marketing role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Technological proficiency and ability to learn new systems
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
