Overview

The Boiler Operator at Marriott International is responsible for monitoring and inspecting boiler equipment, maintaining water and fuel levels, and performing preventative maintenance. This role requires compliance with safety procedures and the ability to address maintenance issues promptly while ensuring efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect boiler equipment and associated controls
  • Maintain proper water, chemical, and fuel levels in boilers
  • Fire gas- or oil-fed boilers and control fuel flow
  • Test and record water quality, taking corrective actions as needed
  • Install and maintain appliances and equipment
  • Keep daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Report serious issues or hazards to management
  • Conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant
  • Assist local authorities in emergencies and natural disasters
  • Follow company safety policies and complete required training
