We are hiring an Insurance Operations Specialist to run day-to-day client service operations.This is a foundational hire as the firm grows from a solo practice to a small team. You will not be one step in someone else's process. You will oversee group health enrollments, terminations, carrier follow-up, and claims resolution end to end, with real autonomy once you know the book. If you are doing this work inside a large brokerage where you handle one narrow slice, this is your chance to own the whole function.This is a phone-forward role. The right person is comfortable calling carriers, client HR contacts, and employees all day, and does not consider anything done until it is confirmed in writing.This position is on-site at our Sunrise office. We work with protected health information and client financial data, and our systems and files are secured here. The role is in-office through your first year, and flexibility can be discussed once you are established and fully licensed.Compensation is $68,000-$75,000 per year depending on experience. We move quickly, and completed applications get a faster response.Compensation:$68,000 - $75,000 DOEResponsibilities:Own new hire group health enrollments and weekly terminations end-to-end: verify elections, enter them in carrier portals and Employee Navigator, report COBRA events, and follow up until every carrier confirms in writingAdvocate with carriers on employees' behalf to resolve claims issues, billing errors, denied or missing claims, and EOB requests, tracking each one through to written resolutionServe as first point of contact for client service requests by phone, email, and portal, and own the follow-up queue so nothing falls throughBuild and maintain client groups in Employee Navigator, including plans, rates, and carrier feeds, and keep records accurate across carrier portals and internal trackersReconcile carrier invoices monthly and resolve eligibility and billing discrepancies, and run post-enrollment audits comparing payroll censuses against carrier enrollmentsRun the recurring service calendar: monthly age change reports, billing reconciliations, and compliance notice distribution including HIPAA and ERISA requirementsSupport open enrollment cycles with data entry, census reconciliation, document preparation, and enrollment team coordination, plus general office duties in a small firmQualifications:Fluent in Spanish and English, spoken and written, with the confidence to run client and employee calls in Spanish independentlyTwo or more years in employee benefits, an insurance agency, a carrier, or HR benefits administration strongly preferredComfortable making outbound calls without hesitation, and you close loops: a task is not done until the carrier confirms in writingStrong Excel skills including formulas, sorting and filtering, and cleaning imported data, plus working knowledge of Microsoft 365Employee Navigator experience strongly preferred.
