Overview

About the Company:Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturing organization who are looking to add a bilingual Spanish HR Generalist to their team. The organization has enjoyed incredible success in the last few years' and are seeking a candidate with a similar background to join the team in this role. The ideal candidate would come from a blue collar manufacturing background and have experience with payroll and union staff. Closely coordinate various Human Resource processes with V.P.'s and managers. Benefit & Compensation- Administer payroll processing, leave mgmt/attendance, health insurance open enrollment. Recruitment- source candidates and Onboarding- guide new hires through orientation. H.R. Initiatives: 1. W- Create, maintain and update all hourly and salaried employees' records in the system including payroll information, vacation accruals/usage and personal days. Coordinate out of ordinary issues with supervisors and document if necessary. 2. W- Coordinate, audit and edit payroll reports accounting for all time worked and any non-worked hours such as vacation, personal or sick time. 3. W- Process weekly payroll by entering time sheets and pulling timekeeping system information totals into the payroll computer system. 4. W- Calculate and process total hours to be paid to associates (temp employees) and send figures to Temp Agency. Verify payroll figures/calculations received from outside sources. 5. W- Upload 401K information from the payroll system and verify that the information is correct. - Backup 6. W- Maintain payroll check integrity- Sort and distribute paychecks, and when requested mail checks to employees off work. 7. M- Calculate and track all deductions for benefits, wage assignments or garnishments. Monitor special circumstances files. 8. M- File Management- of Employee files, OSHA Logs, Workers Comp claims, Union Grievances, Health, Life, Vision, Long-Term Disability. Maintain proper file separations. 9. M- Assist identifying safety issues in the plant through Safety committee audit initiatives and report findings along with pictures to Plant Supervisor. 10. M- Report Safety issues to Plant Mgr that are recommended by OSHA, City Inspectors, Insurance auditors and Other internal or external safety reports. 11. M- Develop, maintain & update various payroll related reports such as 401(k) payouts, union dues & insurance premium reports. 12. W- Weekly attendance report to department manager 13. M- Keep all Job Descriptions updated. 14. AN- Keep on file production prepared employee skill sets spreadsheet. Review quarterly with plant manager. H.R. Initiatives - continued: 15. AN- Administer various benefit packages, conduct enrollments, process changes of status, calculate premiums, review claims reports and assist employees with insurance benefit/policy and claims questions. 16. A- Coordinate employee/supervisor 360 performance evaluation program, coordinate with supervisors/managers of evaluations, attendance and any recognitions or write-ups during the year, then filing completed forms. 17. A- Prepare Annual Salary/Benefits booklets for office personnel for 1st week in February distribution. 18. A- Prepare and submit Annual OSHA Form 300 in a timely manner. 19. AN- Assist in Union Contract Agreement negotiations. 20. AN- Year of Union Contract Negotiations- In March/April Prepare an Annual Wage/Benefits booklet summary for plant employees. 21. AN- After new contract is completed update the Union/Company Policy manual within 60 days of Contract completion and sign off. 22. AN- Maintain
