Overview

The Beverage Manager at Delaware Park Casino & Racing is responsible for overseeing the beverage operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, and managing staff training and scheduling. This role involves handling record keeping, inventory management, and implementing policies to maintain quality and compliance in the department.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and recommend disciplinary actions for staff
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train staff members
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and analyze reports
  • Schedule personnel and assign duties as needed
  • Implement orientation and training programs
  • Ensure high levels of customer service in line with quality standards
  • Order supplies and manage food and beverage costs
  • Adhere to food and beverage policies and regulations
  • Manage guest relations responsibly, addressing compliments and complaints
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and recommend promotions

Required skills

  • 3 to 5 years of restaurant management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with P.O.S and PC systems
  • Thorough knowledge of front and back of house policies and procedures
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
