Job Description

Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist to provide triage, assessment, and treatment to patients and families in its Primary Care facilities in Steamboat Springs and Craig, Colorado. This full-time role includes counseling patients in individual and group settings and coordinating care and discharge planning with other members of the care team.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement counseling/therapy for assigned patients in both individual and group settings.
  • Interview and assess patients and/or their families and caregivers.
  • Determine, provide, and/or arrange for needed internal and external services/interventions.
  • Participate in case reviews/care conferences to evaluate patient progress.
  • Assist with discharge planning and processes, identifying community-based resources.
  • Utilize appropriate teaching methods to ensure educational needs are met.
  • Participate and/or train new staff, students, and interns as assigned.

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • State licensure as LCSW, LPC, MFT, or Licensed Addiction Counselor.
  • Preferred 2 years of relevant experience.
