Overview

First Commerce Bank is seeking an AVP, Senior Compliance Manager to support management in daily compliance operations, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role focuses on managing compliance monitoring programs, developing policies, coordinating training, and serving as a liaison with regulators.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the compliance monitoring program and develop the monitoring schedule.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for lending and deposit regulations.
  • Conduct risk-based compliance reviews and oversee remediation of identified gaps.
  • Create, review, and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage the annual Compliance Training program.
  • Prepare materials and reports for the Internal Management Compliance Committee and Board Compliance Committee.
  • Act as liaison with regulatory examiners and coordinate examination activities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to the department.
  • Review marketing advertisements for compliance with applicable laws.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or seven years of equivalent banking and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation preferred.
  • Strong background in designing compliance programs and knowledge of banking regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
