Job Description

Overview

The Avionics/Electrical Technician 2 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for providing technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems. This role requires ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining schedules, as well as supporting aircraft certification and testing processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components on aircraft
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems to ensure defect-free operations
  • Document all work performed on aircraft for inspection readiness
  • Set up and operate necessary test equipment for functional and operational tests
  • Comply with engineering changes and modifications as required
  • Adapt to sudden changes in schedule
  • Support flight tests on aircraft when required

Required skills

  • Four years experience in avionics/electrical field or two years accredited schooling and two years related experience
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
  • Experience with troubleshooting aircraft systems, including hydraulics and landing gear
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in using splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques
