Description: Automotive Parts CounterpersonCompetition Subaru of Smithtown is seeking a dependable, motivated Parts Counterperson to join our busy dealership team!In this role, you will play a hands-on part in keeping our counter and inventory running smoothly. You will assist front counter retail customers, serve internal technicians, and process online/e-commerce orders. Because our department thrives on teamwork, all members of our counter staff actively help receive shipments, stock shelves, and keep inventory organized.Parts counter experience is required, but dealership experience is NOT required. We welcome applicants with a counter background from any parts industry (automotive, aftermarket, commercial, marine, power equipment, hardware, or retail parts). If you bring counter experience and a strong work ethic, we will provide the dealership training to help you succeed!Key ResponsibilitiesFront Counter & Retail: Greet and assist retail customers at the front counter, helping them identify correct parts, check availability, and process payments.Stocking & Inventory: Unload incoming shipments, stock shelves, organize inventory, and keep bin locations clean and accurate.Online Orders: Process, pull, package, and complete online/e-commerce parts orders accurately and efficiently.Technician Support: Pull parts quickly and bill them onto service repair orders for shop technicians.Phone & Inquiries: Answer incoming calls, provide accurate price quotes, and check stock status.Team Operations: Work collaboratively with the counter team on daily stock receiving, inventory counts, and shop support. Requirements: • Counter Experience: REQUIRED - Must have prior parts counter experience (automotive, aftermarket, heavy equipment, power sports, hardware, or general retail parts).• Dealership Experience: NOT REQUIRED - Prior dealership experience is a plus, but we are fully prepared to train the right candidate.• Software Knowledge: CDK experience preferred, but not mandatory (we will train you on our system).• Schedule: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work Saturdays (Mandatory).• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift items up to 50 lbs to stock shelves and handle inventory.• Core Skills: Strong customer service skills, basic computer literacy, great attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.• Education & Driver's License: High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license preferred.Compensation details: 0 Yearly SalaryPI5091ec1e3a82-7179
