Overview

Messerli Kramer P.A. is seeking a Senior Associate or Lateral Attorney for its downtown Minneapolis office, focusing on commercial banking. The firm, established in 1965, is well-regarded in the business community for providing comprehensive legal services. Successful candidates will require extensive experience in various commercial banking transactions and a strong understanding of real estate financing and regulatory laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate complex loan documentation
  • Review due diligence materials for real estate and asset-based lending transactions
  • Handle construction lending and financing for land development
  • Advise on complex financial transactions
  • Manage loan document drafting and due diligence review
  • Collaborate with team members on projects

Required skills

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial banking
  • Expertise in loan documentation, due diligence, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of construction lending and affordable housing financing
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Licensed to practice law in Minnesota
