Job Description

Overview

The Associate Financial Advisor at Thrivent Financial provides licensed financial and non-financial support to help meet the diverse needs of clients and their families. Working closely with a Lead Advisor, the role involves developing and implementing strategies to acquire and retain clients while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through tailored financial advice and ongoing guidance.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle sensitive communications with members/customers and respond to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate and co-present product-specific seminars and workshops
  • Participate in business planning for the practice as needed
  • Counsel and advise clients on suitable financial products and investment advisory services
  • Conduct substantive research and information gathering for security product recommendations
  • Open and complete product applications
  • Accept and enter securities trade orders from customers
  • Explain and analyze insurance coverage and provide recommendations
  • Assist financial representatives in member/customer meeting preparations
  • Collaborate with representatives to assist clients with product changes
  • Drive marketing services including direct-mail and seminars
  • Participate in client meetings held by other advisors when directed
  • Monitor client interactions and follow-up activities

Required skills

  • Securities registered (series 7 & 66 or 6 & 63)
  • WA State Life and Health insurance licensing
  • 3+ years customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and DocuSign
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Integrity in handling sensitive/confidential information
  • Desire to work collaboratively with peers

What the company offers

  • Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $105,000 depending on experience
  • Additional performance-based incentive compensation
