Job Description

Overview

The Associate Financial Advisor at Thrivent Financial plays a crucial role in providing licensed financial and non-financial support to clients. This position focuses on assisting with securities and investment advisory products while collaborating with Financial Advisors to cater to the financial needs of clients and ensure their long-term success.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle sensitive communications with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate or co-present product-specific seminars or workshops
  • Counsel clients on suitable financial products and investment services
  • Conduct research for making securities product recommendations
  • Obtain client financial information and enter trade orders
  • Explain insurance coverage and provide policy analysis
  • Assist in preparing and following up for client meetings
  • Participate in marketing activities including direct-mail and seminars
  • Document client interactions in Salesforce and follow up on action items

Required skills

  • Securities registered (series 7 & 66 or 6 & 63)
  • Washington State Life and Health insurance licensing
  • 3+ years customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and DocuSign
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Desire to work collaboratively and support peers

What the company offers

  • Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $105,000, depending on experience, with additional performance-based incentive compensation
