Overview

Takeda Pharmaceutical is seeking an Associate Director of Statistics to join their team in Cambridge, MA. This role is focused on advancing Takeda's R&D pipeline through leadership in data and quantitative sciences, integrating various quantitative methods and tools to enhance drug discovery and development processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead delivery for assets at GPT level or specialty area in preclinical, clinical, and translational research
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration in Global Project Teams (GPTs), including with external vendors
  • Implement asset level delivery strategies with effective risk identification and mitigation
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in delivery approaches
  • Demonstrate mentorship and management of a small team of SQS colleagues

Required skills

  • PhD in statistics/biostatistics or equivalent quantitative sciences with 5 years of experience
  • MS with 8+ years of experience
  • Subject matter expertise in quantitative and statistical areas
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional translation
  • Ability to research innovative approaches and methods in programs
  • Scientific understanding of drug R&D
