Overview

Skilled Nursing of Brooklyn is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing to assist with management responsibilities and maintain the quality of care in the facility. The role involves overseeing nursing services, compliance, and staff training, while being on call to meet the medical needs of residents.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with management responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds
  • Ensure compliance and effective communication with nursing staff
  • Meet nursing medical needs of residents, 24 hours on call
  • Coordinate and direct planning for nursing services
  • Maintain knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new staff
  • Oversee daily staffing process and infection control
  • Maintain flexibility with work schedule

Required skills

  • Current State RN license
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Long-Term Care settings
  • 2 years of management experience preferred
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic leadership skills and supervision
  • Flexibility in work hours
