Overview

Skilled Nursing of Brooklyn is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing to assist in management responsibilities and maintain quality of care at their facility. The role involves directing nursing services, ensuring compliance, and being on call to meet the residents' medical needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the DNS with management responsibilities
  • Maintain the quality of care
  • Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds
  • Ensure effective communication with nursing staff
  • Meet nursing medical needs of residents 24 hours on call
  • Coordinate and direct total planning for nursing services
  • Oversee daily staffing process and infection control
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff
  • Complete medical records accurately and timely

Required skills

  • Current State RN license
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Long-Term Care settings
  • 2 years of management experience preferred
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic leadership skills and supervision
  • Flexibility with work schedule
