Overview

Pernini Recruiting Company is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join their Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Miami. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated disputes and to receive mentorship from a nationally recognized team within a top-10 AmLaw international law firm. The position involves hands-on experience across all stages of litigation with a hybrid work model that balances in-office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and other court filings
  • Support senior attorneys in case development, strategy, and client communications
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting requests and responses, and reviewing evidence
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, providing support to the litigation team
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders
  • Review, organize, and manage case files, pleadings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

  • JD from a top-tier law school
  • Active Bar Admission in Florida
  • 4+ years of general litigation experience
  • Completion of a federal or state supreme court judicial clerkship (preferred)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to draft pleadings, motions, and client communications with minimal supervision
  • Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to professional development and community service initiatives
