Overview

The Assistant Manager at 10 Fitness in Little Rock, Arkansas, plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional member experience and supporting the General Manager in club operations. This position involves leadership responsibilities, staff management, customer service, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for both employees and members.

Key responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with the General Manager about staff, members, and sales.
  • Assist in hiring and firing employees and recruiting potential candidates.
  • Conduct regular meetings to update employees on policies, sales, and coaching.
  • Document and report incidents of harassment, safety violations, and injuries.
  • Approve time off requests and timecard changes in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Provide coaching and development for staff to enhance their skills.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all members and guests receive a warm greeting and assistance.
  • Handle member service issues including billing inquiries and lost and found.
  • Promote and sell memberships, merchandise, and personal training services.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Perform routine safety checks and maintain equipment.

Required skills

  • Sales and customer service experience (6-12 months)
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Exercise Science (preferred)
  • Personal Training Certification (preferred)

  • Base hourly rate of $17.00 - $20.00
