Overview

The Assistant Deli Manager at Kennie's Market's Inc plays a key role in overseeing the Deli Department operations, supporting the Deli Manager and ensuring top-quality customer service and product standards. This position includes direct supervision of deli staff and assumes complete operational responsibility in the manager's absence, focusing on customer satisfaction and departmental efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining supply and payroll expenses, inventory, and waste.
  • Support accurate accounting procedures including invoices and inventory management.
  • Aid in the preparation of party trays and maintain knowledge of food preparation instructions.
  • Order products and ensure correct pricing and proper rotation of stock.
  • Oversee stocking, display, and rotation of deli products to attract customer attention.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area.
  • Enforce company policies and regulations among deli employees.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance of equipment in the department.
  • Collaborate with other departments during store-wide promotions.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
