Overview

The Assistant Deli Manager at Kennie's Market's Inc. is responsible for supporting the Deli Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of the Deli Department. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining product quality, and delivering excellent customer service while managing inventory and expenses.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Deli Manager with daily operations and decision-making
  • Supervise 6-8 deli employees, including hiring and training
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and customer service
  • Manage inventory and minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Prepare party trays and manage product ordering and pricing
  • Direct stocking, display, and rotation of deli products
  • Help maintain cleanliness of deli area
  • Cooperate with other departments during sales promotions
