Overview

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated JV Coach to support our girls soccer program. The Coach will work under the direction of the Head Coach and the Activities Director to develop athletes, implement training plans, and foster a positive, competitive, and sportsmanlike environment. This role requires a passion for soccer, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and motivate high school aged student athletes.This position is a seasonal position that works from approximately August to November 2026 (dates to be determined), requires occasional travel to events, and is paid a biweekly stipend.About the Role:As a Coach, under the guidance of the Head Coach, you will be responsible for leading and managing the JV soccer team, with a focus on youth mentoring and sports management. Your main objective will be to develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance the performance and skills of our athletes. Additionally, you will play a key role in designing and implementing strength training programs to ensure the physical fitness and well-being of our athletes.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience in coaching and mentoring athletes, preferably in a youth sports setting.Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of soccer.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work collaboratively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals, including student athletes, coaching staff, and administrators.Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for meets as needed.Willingness and ability to complete a student safety training, pre-employment criminal background check, and school Code of Conduct.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.Previous experience playing soccer at a collegiate level. Certification in strength and conditioning training.Responsibilities:Develop and implement coaching strategies to enhance the performance and skills of our athletes.Design and implement strength training programs to ensure the physical fitness and well-being of our athletes.Support the Varsity Head Coach as needed.
