Overview

Management Analysis Technologies (MAT), Inc. is seeking a Military Science Instructor (MSI) to support the US Army ROTC program. The MSI will be responsible for teaching military science in classroom and field environments, engaging students through various training methods and ensuring successful application of military concepts.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide military science instruction and training in various settings, including field environments.
  • Utilize mixed media and innovative methods for teaching learning objectives.
  • Conduct assessments to ensure students successfully apply military theory in practice.
  • Coach and prepare Cadet teams for various competitive activities.
  • Support Cadet Summer Training (CST) for approximately 40 days at Fort Knox, KY.
  • Assist in marketing and recruiting efforts for the Army ROTC program.
  • Participate in student orientation, college fairs, and community events.
  • Transport ROTC personnel and materials for training exercises.

Required skills

  • Commissioned or Non-Commissioned Officer experience in the U.S. Army, Active, Reserve, or National Guard
  • Minimum six years of military experience for permanent employment
  • Knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, and training evaluations
  • Basic Soldier skills, including map reading, land navigation, and marksmanship
  • Safety skills related to the use of small arms and ammunition
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office and email/internet operations
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in classroom and field settings
