Overview

Medical Manufacturing Technologies LLC is looking for an Applications Technician to join their team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves working directly with customers and engineers to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for life-saving medical devices, particularly catheter-based technologies, using advanced automation and manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and internal teams to evaluate manufacturing challenges and recommend solutions
  • Conduct proof-of-concept testing in the Applications Lab
  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing equipment
  • Verify part dimensions and specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Diagnose machine performance issues and validate application readiness
  • Develop and document repeatable manufacturing processes
  • Generate detailed technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Support equipment builds, testing, and system validation
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams
  • Assist with root-cause investigations and process troubleshooting
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and machine capability
  • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams on new technologies and process development

Required skills

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Engineering Technology, or related fiel
  • Technical certification from an accredited vocational or trade program
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, automation, or process development
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience with automated equipment and precision manufacturing systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and teams
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing and catheter processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments
  • Knowledge of electronic theory and electrical safety practices
