Overview

Medical Manufacturing Technologies LLC is seeking an Applications Engineer II in Palm Beach, Florida, to support the manufacturing processes for innovative medical devices. This role involves collaboration with customers, Engineering, R&D, and Production teams in developing solutions that enhance catheter manufacturing processes and improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with customers to understand manufacturing challenges and recommend solutions
  • Conduct proof-of-concept testing and process development in the Applications Lab
  • Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for catheter and medical device applications
  • Troubleshoot technical and process-related challenges and perform root cause analysis
  • Program, test, and validate equipment prior to customer acceptance and shipment
  • Prepare technical reports and present recommendations to customers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to improve machine capabilities and automation
  • Train customers and internal teams on equipment operation and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and productivity

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10-20%
  • Valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one
  • Experience within medical device manufacturing
  • Familiarity with catheter manufacturing processes and related technologies
  • Knowledge of process validation, DOE, and statistical methods
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System Regulations
  • Knowledge of polymers and materials used in catheter applications
