Overview

The Annual Giving Coordinator at Penland School of Craft is a crucial member of the development team tasked with leading the strategy and execution of a comprehensive annual giving program. This role focuses on enhancing donor engagement through effective communication and stewardship, aiming to bring in significant annual donations to support the organization's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of multi-channel annual giving campaigns including direct mail, email, and digital fundraising.
  • Design and implement a year-round donor stewardship strategy to enhance donor engagement and loyalty.
  • Manage a portfolio of annual fund donors with personalized outreach and direct stewardship.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure integrated donor experiences.
  • Conduct donor research and analyze performance data to optimize campaigns.
  • Prepare and present reports on annual giving performance to internal stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising or nonprofit development
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Experience with donor databases/CRMs (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce)
  • Ability to analyze data for strategic insights and performance tracking
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities for donor communications
