Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician V A&P in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves performing various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, ensuring proper operation through repair, replacement, and modification of key components while adhering to high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft
  • Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with FAA and internal standards
  • Complete work order sign-offs and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
  • Properly identify and store aircraft components and customer property
  • Operate and oversee special support equipment for major component installations
  • Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain work areas
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations and company policies

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8 years aviation maintenance experience
  • 4 years Gulfstream aircraft experience
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of technical reference materials
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
