Overview

As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Lead A&P at Gulfstream Aerospace, you'll provide technical leadership on Gulfstream aircraft, ensuring maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities are executed safely and to high-quality standards. The role emphasizes rapid response for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations while mentoring technicians and supporting operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting activities
  • Provide daily work direction and hands-on technical guidance to maintenance technicians
  • Prioritize and expedite critical AOG repairs to minimize aircraft downtime
  • Perform and oversee maintenance on airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical, and control systems
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards
  • Coordinate work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and accurate documentation

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years with Gulfstream aircraft
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and FAA regulations
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
