Overview

Harmon Scrap Metal LLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in a fast-paced scrap yard environment. This role involves managing the weighing of trucks, entering data accurately, and ensuring smooth operations at the scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Weigh all inbound and outbound loads using the scale system
  • Enter customer info, material types, and weights into the system accurately
  • Print and process scale tickets and receipts
  • Direct drivers and maintain safe traffic flow
  • Communicate with yard operators and office staff
  • Answer phones and assist customers at the scale window
  • Handle payments and balance transactions if assigned
  • Keep paperwork organized and up to date
  • Watch for discrepancies in loads or tickets and report issues
  • Follow all safety rules and company procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping and attend internal meetings
