Overview

Forsyth Building Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper to join their team in Oxford, Alabama. This full-time role will manage various bookkeeping duties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting, while providing a stable work environment in a small office setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Process payroll and prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations and insurance audits
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
  • Utilize Sage and Microsoft Excel for bookkeeping tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all bookkeeping duties
  • Report to the Accounting Manager

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with payroll software
  • Experience with bank reconciliations
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
